Smart. Clean. Sustainable.
Cortexia's solution for improving urban cleanliness while keeping costs under control is very promising. The City of Zurich is proud to have contributed greatly as a partner in this development. We are confident that this solution has the potential to be a useful and indispensable tool for cities around the world.
AVPU has been collaborating with Cortexia since its inception on cleanliness measurement and more broadly on topics related to improving urban cleanliness in cities. Cortexia's solutions make real progress possible, and this partnership fully meets the needs of our members.
With Cortexia's tool, I can work with my team on a daily basis using objective cleanliness indicators. This allows for constructive exchanges with new solutions in which everyone is involved. Together, we have succeeded in significantly reducing machine operating hours.
Philip Morris International has committed to halving the littering of its products worldwide by 2025. This is a very ambitious objective, requiring the mobilisation of all stakeholders. To act with maximum impact, assess the effectiveness of measures taken and track progress, it is essential to objectively quantify the amount of waste. Cortexia, with its AI-based solution, provides facts, measured and precise data. This data can be collected anywhere in the world.
SIG and customers who have chosen Électricité Vitale Vert are committed to sustainable cities, in particular through its Vitale Innovation Fund, which promotes innovative projects in the fields of energy efficiency and sustainable energies. We are very pleased to support the 'Geneva Clean City Lab' project by Cortexia and the City of Geneva. It is an innovative solution to optimise the energy and quality aspects of city cleaning. This pilot project will help reduce CO₂ emissions in Geneva and can be replicated in other cities.
The cleanliness index provides us with detailed information on the state of cleanliness of Basel's streets and squares. Thanks to the large number of observations, we can evaluate the data in different ways. On the one hand, we use this information as an indicator of the achievement of our objectives, and on the other hand for the allocation of resources to cleaning zones and operational planning.
CORTEXIA enables us to assess the cleanliness of streets, using photos taken by cameras installed on vehicles. Following the installation of 3 cameras on vehicles, the cleanliness of Rueil-Malmaison is continuously measured and recorded using optical recognition. The cameras were installed on 2 street sweepers and 1 truck. We are satisfied with this tool. We see 2 main benefits: targeting streets to improve and priority sources of dirt — measurements allow us to check whether the results of actions taken meet expectations — and communicating, in particular through mapping which allows us to visualise street cleanliness according to their index.
